  Wilt Chamberlain poured in 41 points — most in PL playoff history — as ’Brook coasted. He outscored West in the first half, 22-20. Joe Howell scored 18 points for West.

  Don Davis (18 points) and Jim “Tee” Parham (14) paced the winners. Joe Keegan (12) led Bok, a first-time playoff entrant.

South 63, North 59 (ot)
  The Pirates roared back from a 13-point, early-fourth-quarter deficit as Bob Goodrich (17) led the way. Goodrich scored the final six points of regulation in 35 seconds on a jumper, two free throws and a layup off Rich DeFusco’s assist. Fred Giordano’s tap-in provided the lead for good, 59-57. Gerry McColgan (17) and Tony Garberina (16) paced North.
West 75, La Salle 47
 
The teams combined to shoot 99 free throws as West went 37-for-50 and La Salle went 25-for-49. Bob Devine scored 19 points. Bill Bodo (10) led La Salle.

  Jim Grazione (18) and Rich DeFusco (10) scored in double figures for South, which trailed just once, 1-0. The largest lead, 31-18, was provided as Jim Tobin and Fred Giordano scored on successive tap-ins. Bob Devine, Charles Eltringham and Jack Savage split 30 points for West.

Al Cooke (15) and Bob Ortman (12) scored in double figures for first-year coach George Davidson, and Ortman hit two clinching free throws with 0:12 left. Episcopal (7-3) placed second.
