Bob Atene scored 21 points and Joe Black added 12. Ron Billingslea had 13 for
West.
First Round
North 71, Neumann 69 (2 ot)
Ron Kurtz (25 points) and Hank Siemiontkowski (17) enabled the Falcons to
survive the grueling game. For Neumann, Bob Atene hit 14 field goals for 28 points
a CL postseason record and scored 12 to help erase a 10-point deficit in the final
6:00 of regulation.
Dougherty 66, OHara 49
Jack Kerrigan (19) and Bob Walsh (18) paced Dougherty, which won the second
half, 41-20. Joe Hazinsky (19) led OHara.

Doubleheader at the Palestra
North 60, Judge 57
Ron Kurtz scored 21 points and Dennis Bohn (17) converted a steal and race
downcourt into the go-ahead basket as the clock melted below 0:20. Len Caprisecca (22) and
Sam Cancelliere (16) paced Judge.
Bonner 58, Dougherty 45
Nick Scogna (24) and Ed Phillips (13) led the way. Only Jack Snyder (16)
reached double figures for Dougherty.

North 58, Bonner 56 (2 ot)
The game was decided when Ron Kurtz (15 points) missed a 25-foot jumper and
Dennis Bohn (10) soared high to bank home a buzzer-beating follow. Hank Siemiontkowski
scored 19 points and canned two tip-ins to finalize regulation at 50-50. The Falcons led,
56-51, with 1:19 left in the first OT before Bonner rallied. The Friars' Nick Scogna
scored 10 of his 21 points in the final quarter.
