  Hank Siemiontkowski scored saved nine of his 10 points for a 15-10 fourth quarter and Ron Kurtz (16) was steady throughout
for the Falcons, who shook off an 11-3 deficit. Bob Wheeler, Dennis Bohn and Bill Shouldis split 24 points. North tripled its
rebounding output in the second half, improving from seven to 21. Bill Turner (14), Mike Gale (13) and Eldred "Jay" Bagley
(11) led 'Brook.

  Ron Stewart scored 18 points and Lou Exum and Arthur Evans added 16 apiece as Bok won a postseason game for the first time. Mickey Grimes (17) led Bartram, which went scoreless for 7:29 as Bok reeled off 11 points for a 36-26 lead.

Franklin 74, Lincoln 60
  Ira Miles scored 13 of his 28 points in the last quarter and received assistance from Don Easley (23). Doug Gray (19) and Ron Moyer (18) led Lincoln.

  Mike Gale shot 16-for-19 from the line en route to 30 points and Ron Eleby added 19 points while Eldred “Jay” Bagley and Carlyle Corbin combined to hound Franklin scorer Ira Miles into a seven-point showing. Don Easley managed 19 points to pick up the slack.
At Frankford
Germantown 61, Bok 56
  Willie Sojourner scored 11 of his 19 points in the second half for the Bears, who fashioned a 50-40 lead with 2:15 left and then held on. Dwight Patterson (15) and Wesley Person (13) helped. Lou Exum (23) and Ronald Stewart (19) led Bok.

Overbrook 49, Germantown 42
 
Eldred "Jay" Bagley scored six of his team-high 19 points in a 12-7 opening period as Overbrook established early control. Mike Gale shot 9-for-10 from the line en route to 17 points. For Germantown, which shot 13-for-58 and fell 30 points short of its scoring average, 6-7 Willie Sojourner had 25 points.

Ron Kurtz (25 points) and Hank Siemiontkowski (17) enabled the Falcons to survive the grueling game. For Neumann, Bob Atene hit 14 field goals for 28 points — a CL postseason record — and scored 12 to help erase a 10-point deficit in the final 6:00 of regulation.

Jack Kerrigan (19) and Bob Walsh (18) paced Dougherty, which won the second half, 41-20. Joe Hazinsky (19) led O’Hara.

Ron Kurtz scored 21 points and Dennis Bohn (17) converted a steal and race downcourt into the go-ahead basket as the clock melted below 0:20. Len Caprisecca (22) and Sam Cancelliere (16) paced Judge.
Bonner 58, Dougherty 45
 
Nick Scogna (24) and Ed Phillips (13) led the way. Only Jack Snyder (16) reached double figures for Dougherty.

The game was decided when Ron Kurtz (15 points) missed a 25-foot jumper and Dennis Bohn (10) soared high to bank home a buzzer-beating follow. Hank Siemiontkowski scored 19 points and canned two tip-ins to finalize regulation at 50-50. The Falcons led, 56-51, with 1:19 left in the first OT before Bonner rallied. The Friars' Nick Scogna scored 10 of his 21 points in the final quarter.
