EARLY PROSPECT LOOK
EARLY PROSPECT LOOK
There is an immense amount of talent in the
city and Ive been able to see some very
good players and interesting collegiate
prospects during the first two weeks. This
is a first look on the season and these
players are still developing so they could
become more highly regarded.
(FBS (I-A)
and FCS (I-AA))
David Williams RB 6-1 200 Imhotep
Charter, Sr. Top tier halfback , who
is being recruited by many top level
programs, (Arizona State, Wisconsin, Ohio
State, Nebraska, Tennessee and South
Carolina) played well against Strath Haven.
Easily a top player in the Philadelphia
area.
John Pender QB-LB 6-3 188 Strath Haven,
Sr. A very good defensive player who
makes plays and looks like he has a desire
to win games on defense. Pender should be
key for Strath Haven, which defeated Radnor
last week.
Eric Leggett T-DT 6-2 300 Strath Haven,
Sr. Active on both sides of the ball
and appeared to be a capable blocker during
special teams. Seemed to want to play all
game long and was a competitor.
Darnell Baldwin WR-DB 6-3 170
Germantown High School, Sr. A
good defensive back who makes a bunch of
plays for the Bears. Had a couple of big
games late last season and is now looking
like he will be the defenses star.
Germantown appears loaded on the defensive
side Baldwin is a clear reason why.
Kevin Norris WR-DB 5-11 175 Germantown
High School, Sr. Looked really
impressive against Thomas Edison. Seemed to
be stepping into the shoes of the
aforementioned Will Parks, he wears the
exact same number. Norris could be a
classic Public League kid who turns the
heads of coaches while in the 12th grade.
Delane Hart WR-DE 6-3 176 Germantown High
School, Jr. A top level prospect who
is growing into a likely Division I-A player
like his brother Will Parks (Arizona). Hart
can naturally play a bunch of positions at
this level.
Dontae Angus OL-DL 6-6 310 Germantown
High School, Jr. Emerging as an
awesome blocker with the ability to make
blocks downfield after the first block.
Seems to be developing into a prospect that
will move up the recruiting charts in the
eyes of many and a key name for Public
League teams to note during scouting.
Cedric Wright QB 6-0 196 Germantown High
School, Jr.-An accurate thrower who is
improving his footwork. Had a breakthrough
season and moved up the charts in my mind
last year, improvement should be a week to
week matter.
Denniston DJ Moore WR 6-4 180 Imhotep
Charter, So.. A nice receiver with good
size, quickness and toughness. Should move
up the charts in the eyes of many.
DeAndre Scott DB-P 5-10 180 Imhotep
Charter, Jr. A defensive player who is
a team player as he heads all over the field
chasing the ball. I was really impressed
last season.
Jordan Alexander LB 6-1 190 Germantown
High School, Jr. A key player on last
years team Alexander returns and is
expected to help lead the Bears in the very
challenging Public League AAAA Gold
Division.
Andre Dreuitt QB 6-3 175 Imhotep Charter,
So. Developing into a quarterback
prospect, has good field vision and a
strong arm. He is one to watch.
Anthony Myers HB 6-0 179 Strath Haven, So
Really has the look. You know appears
to be a player after only touching the ball
a couple of times. but looked . Nice
dimensions and should develop.
Ishmael Dargan RB 5-9 180 Germantown High
School,So. A quick back who appers to
enjoy playing behind a big line. Dargan can
really get down the field.
