O'Hara 28, Lincoln 7
Marty Cull rushed for 82 yards and a TD on 20 carries and QB
Greg Pergolese added two scores on short runs. O'Hara's defense
registered 11 sacks for 76 yards in losses, while Bill Wendel returned
an interception 50 yards for a TD and Dave Vitalli made 13 tackles. For
Lincoln, Zachary Armwood (11-83) raced 45 yards for a score one play
after O'Hara coach Bob Ewing removed his defensive starters en masse.

Both games at Northeast
Lincoln 30, Dobbins 28
In the PL's first postseason night game, Wendell Birch passed 10-for-18
for 171 yards and three TDs (two to Curtis Morman) and ran 13 yards for
the winning score with 1:36 remaining. Zachary Armwood rushed 31 times
for 113 yards and a TD. For Dobbins, Kevin Ingram rushed 17 times for 161
yards and a TD and passed 4-for-13 for 108 yards. Kevin Dixon added 124
yards and two TDs on nine carries and Cliff Carter posted a 53-yard TD on
a punt return. The teams combined for 34 first downs, 742 yards total offense
and 197 yards on returns (939 total).
Central 6, West 0
Steve Lewis ran 19 yards for a TD on a reverse with 0:19 left to win it.
Knowing his team would have lost on total yardage, West coach Bill Clausen
called time out on the three previous plays hoping to force a turnover. Robert
Crawford rushed 26 times for 90 yards.

At Northeast
Lincoln 19, Central 7
Wendell Birch passed 6-for-7 for 62 yards and TDs to Walter
Brown and Mike Slade and Zachary Armwood produced 94 yards and a TD on
22 carries. Lester Speero made 10 tackles to pace a defense that stopped
Central at Lincoln's 38, 1, 24, 25 and 30. In the Railsplitters' two
previous games, they'd been scorched for a total of 50 points. Vic
Bellamy ran 5 yards for the Lancers' lone score.

Mike Mostak carried 33 times for 150 yards and scored with 9:32
remaining, then Mike Stankiewicz kicked the PAT. Judge won the yardage
battle, 328-263.
At Villanova Stadium
O'Hara 35, Roman 10
Marty Cull rushed for 112 yards and two TDs on 16 carries as
O'Hara romped to a 35-0 halftime lead. John Cason sped 99 yards from
scrimmage for Roman's TD.
Final
At Northeast
O'Hara 10, Judge 7
John Bauer ran 3 yards for a TD with 3:10 left to provide the
win for O'Hara, which also received Bill Mitchell's 30-yard field goal.
Marty Cull rushed 29 times for 115 yards. Dave Vitalli (nine tackles),
Jim Hewitt (seven) and Chris Minton (late-game interception) led the
defense, which held Judge to 81 yards total offense.
