and batted down a pass as McDevitt halted Ryan's 47-game unbeaten streak

when Mitros, not the kicker, lined up to attempt a 41-yard field goal
and then took a flip from Jon Bystrek, the holder, and threw a 23-yard
scoring pass to Hemmert. Bystrek ran for one TD and scored another on an
86-yard kickoff return. McDevitt's Levar Talley ran 21 times for 106
yards and a TD.
