The Immaculate Heart of Mary Steelers, coached by Roman Catholic product Sean Woods
(Class of '06), captured the Philadelphia CYO title on Nov. 19, 2010, at Villanova Stadium,
with a 38-7 victory over St. Joseph's/Mother of Divine Providence. The Steelers finished 10-0.
(Also, check the bottom of this page for a look back at the last IHM squad to make the final,
in 2006. Those guys are now high school seniors, of course.)

Special note . . .

In 2006, the Steelers also reached the championship game, which ended in a scoreless tie.
Among the eighth graders on that squad were Colin Kelly (Chestnut Hill), Jack Foley and
Dan Pellicciotti (Roman), Phil Riehl (SJ Prep), Martin "Nico" Henry (McDevitt), and
Anthony McDonnaugh (West Catholic). The head coach of that team was Bill Morris,
now a Roman assistant. Here's a pic of that team's defense.
