High School Highlights Productions (HHP) announces the addition of ON
DEMAND from Comcast as a component of its Friday Night Prime Time
programming. With ON DEMAND, fans of Philadelphia high school football,
who are Comcast Digital Cable subscribers, can view HHP Friday Night
Prime Time broadcasts on their schedule, any time of the day or night,
entirely free of charge. ON DEMAND and WMCN-TV are the only places to
see High School Highlights Productions' Friday Night Prime Time and
enjoy the most important two weeks of the regular season along with
Catholic League playoff and championship games.
All HHP programming available through ON DEMAND will be made available
approximately 30 minutes following the end of each game, and games will
be accessible for 14 days. All games offered by HSHP will be available
in their entirety. Comcast Digital Cable customers can find the programs
under their ON DEMAND menus by going to Get Local/Sports/High School.
The first game to be featured through ON DEMAND will be the Cardinal
O'Hara vs. Roman Catholic game on Friday, October 28. This crucial game
is important to both teams as O'Hara and Roman are working hard for a
bye in the first round of the Catholic League Red Division playoffs.
Remaining Catholic League games – originally broadcast live on WMCN-TV,
then made available through ON DEMAND – include:
Cardinal O'Hara vs. Roman Catholic – October 28
Archbishop Ryan vs. the Crusaders of Father Judge – November 4
League Quarterfinals – November 11
League Semifinals – November 18
League Championships – (December 3)
High School Highlights Productions will televise the best match-ups from
the quarterfinals, semifinals and championship rounds of the
Philadelphia Catholic League playoffs.
The addition of HHP programming to ON DEMAND supplements Comcast’s
existing high school football offerings from CN8, The Comcast Network
and Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN). In addition to Catholic League
programming, Comcast will offer the PIAA high school state championship
football games from PCN through ON DEMAND. With ON DEMAND, fans can
watch high school sports throughout the year, including girls and boys
basketball, soccer, track and field, volleyball and swimming.
