Bartram FB Donation
On Saturday, September 17, 2005, the Bartram Beacon Touchdown Cub,
founded by Bartram alums Damond Warren, Kelvin Bowser, and the Bartram
Beacon program of the Presbyterian Children's Village, received a
$10,000 donation from the York International Corporation. York
International leads the world in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning,
and Refrigeration.
York Executives Joe Lang, Ronald Keene, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Zeta
Iota Iota Chapter President Damaas Stephens, Bartram Principal Constance
McAllister, Coach Damond Warren and the Bartram Football team were on
hand for the presentation
The Bartram Football Team will allocate portions of the donation to the
Bartram Beacon program and the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund. Although
the Philadelphia School District did a great job in upgrading equipment
and uniforms this year, the Bartram Football program still has many
needs.
