David Bunion, a senior lineman, was one of the captains for Martin Luther King's football team. He's thinking about pursuing journalism in college and figures this will be a good way to find out if he likes it.

DEC. 20
PUBLIC LEAGUE A
King 79, Overbrook 74
From the opening tip-off you could tell that this was going to be a good game. Both of these teams were undefeated in Pub play, but only one could come out a winner. King came into this one being led by seniors Antonio "King Worm” Wormley and Dwain Winkfield. Overbrook was led by a junior Nurideen Lindsey, who by the end would have 36 points. The first quarter was a dogfight -- or should I say "catfight" seeing as how these schools both have cat mascots. Antonio Wormley put on a show of good layups on the good and pretty tall Overbrook team. But it was answered with Nurideen Lindsey, who was basically putting up all of Overbrook’s points in the first half, a performance highlighted by a couple of nice threes. But King came right back at them with Dwain Winkfield and jr. Alex Gaddy, who were giving it their all. With Dwain rebounding and Alex shooting, the Cougars kept this game tight and it would stay this way for the reminder. Also a big factor in crunch time was Jeff Rozier, who only finished with 8 points. But for King I would say that Alex Gaddy deserves a lot for this game. In the 4th quarter, he would hit both of his threes and put up 13 more points and finish with 29 points, leading the cougars to victory. Antonio Wormley finished with 19 and Dwain Winkfield with 14.
