SEPT. 10
PUBLIC AA
Del-Val 32, FitzSimons 16
In what appeared by many to be the Orange Bowl (Del-Val orange/black)
(Fitz orange/blue) was actually a lopsided victory for Delaware Valley. Fitz
has the look of a new program that could use a few more players out on the
field. The Rams only had a total of 19 players. With some hard work and effort
Fitz can be a promising program in the future. Del-Val has a gem in senior
quaterback Keith Page. Keith threw 165 yards and went for 4 TDs in the
air. Keith connected with receivers
Brad Wilson for 3 TDs, and
NFL- looking Heleaince Gates for 1. Del-Val has an OK-looking
defense, with apretty good looking rushing offense. Delaware Valley has a
three-headed rushing attack which includes Page (a little), Aaron Baker,
and Markeese Walker. Together the rushing attack displays speed,
agility, and power. For the FitzSimons Rams, quarterback
Richard Williams is the
heart and soul of the team. Williams rushed for 45 yards and a
touchdown. He also threw for a late touchdown to receiver Steven Pruitt
for 85 yards. I also have to mention Derron Gaines, who seemed to play
his heart out for the rams at multiple positions. Del-Val has the making of a
good team that may make a run in the playoffs.
