In 2019, the no-hitter by SJ Prep freshman Ryan Mullock came in his first Catholic League start. He'd made a non-league
start one week earlier and had previously made one relief appearance. Total innings pitched: 5 1/3.
In 2017, in the season opener at the Disney Complex in Florida, three Penn Charter pitchers combined for a five-inning no-no
vs. Brooke HS (WV). Alex Cohen (one inning), Matt Gorman (three) and Will Samuel (one) did the pitching, combining
for 10 strikeouts (six by Gorman) and no walks.
In 2016, four Penn Charter pitchers combined for a no-hitter vs. Haverford School -- Brendan Cellucci (3 innings), Frank
Driscoll (2 2/3), Kyle Konowal (1/3) and Matt Gorman (1). They notched three total strikeouts.
In 2015, Joe Cammisa, a freshman, was making his first varsity pitching appearance in his no-hitter.
In 2013, in his previous start vs. Bok, Justin Carlson came within pitch of posting of five-inning perfect game.
In 2012, in his previous start, Eric McGough pitched six no-hit innings vs. Lansdale before removing himself due to a tired arm.
In 2010, there were 22 outs in Justo Rodriguez' start. One of his 21 strikeout victims reached base. The 22nd out came on a
rundown tag between third and home.
In 2008, Benji Cruz entered the game with the bases loaded and no outs in the first inning.
In 2007, Germantown Academy's John Barr pitched a perfect game (10 Ks) vs. Wood in the season opener. GA's team had
not even been outdoors before that game.
In 2004, Shane Erb pitched no-hit, no-walk ball for 7 2/3 innings before yielding an infield single. He then closed things out.
In 2001, Ryan's Lou DeTitto came within one pitch of a perfect game vs. North Catholic. On an 0-2 count, Dan Szychulski
ruined the bid with a single to right-center. A quick groundout ended it. (It's believed that would have been the first perfect
game since Judge's Ken Keser threw one in '73 vs. North Catholic.)
In 2001, Charlie Ritterson pitched five-inning no-hitters in back-to-back starts. His brother, Rob, pitched one in a round-of-16
  playoff in 2002.
